1. Who we are
Ace Mail Migrate is operated by Ace Micro (“we”, “us”, “our”), with websites including acemicro.com.pk and related services. Ace Micro Limited (acemicro.co.uk) is an affiliated entity in the United Kingdom.
Data controller for this service: Ace Micro. Privacy contact: privacy@acemicro.com.pk or support@acemicro.com.pk.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you use the Ace Mail Migrate online IMAP migration tool at migrate.acemicro.com.pk, including free and paid (Pro, Business, Enterprise) use, contact forms, support tickets, and Stripe checkout.
3. Data we collect
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, timestamps, and request metadata (used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and server logs).
- Migration job data: mailbox server hostnames, usernames, ports, and sync options you submit. Passwords and admin credentials are used only to run the migration command and are not written to our database or long-term storage. They exist in memory and process arguments for the duration of the job.
- Migration logs & reports: imapsync log files and generated PDF/JSON reports are stored temporarily on our server (typically up to 24 hours after job completion, then deleted) to provide the service and download links.
- License & payment data: license keys, plan tier, purchase email (from Stripe), expiry dates. Payment card data is processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Contact & support: name, email, phone, company, message content, and optional job/batch IDs when you use Contact Us or the license-holder support portal.
- Local storage (your browser): if you unlock a paid plan, your license key may be saved in your browser’s localStorage so you do not need to re-enter it. You can clear it with the Clear button or your browser settings.
4. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract — to provide migrations, issue license keys, and deliver paid features you purchase.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the service, prevent abuse, and respond to enquiries (balanced against your rights).
- Legal obligation — where required by law (e.g. tax or regulatory requests).
- Consent — where you voluntarily submit contact or support forms (you may withdraw consent by contacting us; this does not affect prior lawful processing).
5. How we use your data
- Run IMAP mailbox migrations and connection tests you request
- Display live logs and generate sync reports
- Validate license keys and enforce plan limits
- Process payments via Stripe and send transactional emails
- Respond to support and contact requests
- Protect the service from fraud, abuse, and security threats
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your mailbox contents for marketing or read your email beyond what imapsync requires to perform the migration you requested.
6. Processors & third parties
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Hosting provider — our VPS infrastructure (server located as configured for migrate.acemicro.com.pk)
- CDN / fonts — Tailwind CSS CDN and Google Fonts may receive your IP address when pages load (see our Cookie Policy)
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
7. International transfers
Ace Micro is based in Pakistan. If you access the service from the EU, UK, or elsewhere, your data may be transferred to and processed in Pakistan or other countries where our staff or processors operate. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) for international transfers.
8. Retention
- Mailbox passwords: not retained after the job process ends
- Migration logs/reports: typically deleted within 24 hours of job completion
- License records: kept for the license period plus a reasonable period for support, accounting, and disputes
- Support/contact submissions: kept as long as needed to resolve the issue and for legitimate business records
- Server/access logs: rotated on a short-term basis for security
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability (where applicable)
- Withdraw consent (where processing is consent-based)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. the UK ICO or your local EU data protection authority)
To exercise rights, email privacy@acemicro.com.pk. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30 days under GDPR).
10. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard practices to protect data. No internet transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for using strong mailbox credentials and ensuring you have lawful authority to migrate the mailboxes you submit.
11. Children
The service is intended for business and professional use. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
