1. Service provider
Ace Mail Migrate is provided by Ace Micro (“we”, “us”). Affiliated company: Ace Micro Limited (UK). Contact: support@acemicro.com.pk.
2. Description of service
Ace Mail Migrate is a web-based tool that uses the open-source imapsync utility to copy email between IMAP mail servers. Features include single-mailbox migration, bulk migration (paid plans), connection testing, live logs, and PDF reports. The service is provided on an “as available” basis.
3. Eligibility & account
No user account is required for the free tier. Paid features require a valid license key. You must be at least 18 years old or have authority to bind your organisation. You represent that you have lawful rights to access and migrate all mailboxes and data you submit.
4. Plans & licenses
- Free: limited concurrent migrations, mailbox size cap, basic sync only — see Pricing.
- Pro & Business: annual licenses (365 days from issue) purchased via Stripe. Keys are non-transferable unless we agree in writing.
- Enterprise: issued manually after scoping; separate agreement may apply.
We may suspend or revoke a license for breach of these Terms, abuse, or fraud. Expired keys revert to Free tier limits.
5. Payments & refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown on the Pricing page in USD unless stated otherwise. Taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction.
Refunds: Pro licenses — 30-day money-back if the tool cannot complete your migration due to a platform defect on our side (contact support with your license key and details). Business and Enterprise refunds are handled case-by-case. No refund for misuse, third-party server failures, or issues outside our control. Chargebacks without contacting us first may result in license revocation.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Migrate mailboxes you do not own or lack written permission to access
- Use the service for spam, malware, or unlawful content
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, license checks, or security controls
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service (except as permitted by law)
- Share license keys publicly or resell access without authorisation
7. Your responsibilities
- Verify source and destination server settings; use dry-run and connection test where appropriate
- Maintain backups before migration — we are not a backup service
- Ensure IMAP is enabled and supported on source/destination (Exchange/Domino via IMAP only)
- Comply with applicable data protection laws when migrating personal data of others (you may act as an independent controller/processor)
8. Credentials & data
Mailbox passwords are transmitted over HTTPS and used only to execute migrations; they are not stored in our database. See the Privacy Policy for full details. You acknowledge that email migration inherently involves processing of email content on our servers during the sync.
9. Intellectual property
The Ace Mail Migrate website, branding, and custom service software are owned by Ace Micro or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.
Mailbox synchronization is performed by imapsync, developed and maintained by Gilles Lamiral. imapsync is used under its own license (NLPL). Ace Mail Migrate is an independent hosted service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the imapsync project. See Credits.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free migrations, or compatibility with every mail server configuration. Migration outcomes depend on third-party servers, network conditions, and mailbox content.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACE MICRO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the license in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or USD $50 if you use the free tier.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Ace Micro against claims arising from your misuse of the service, migration of data without proper authority, or breach of these Terms.
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach, abuse, or legal requirement. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For customers in the United Kingdom or European Union, mandatory consumer protection laws in your country may also apply. Disputes should first be raised with support@acemicro.com.pk. Courts in Pakistan shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction unless local law requires otherwise.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. The effective date will be revised on this page. Material changes to paid subscribers will be communicated where practicable. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
